Kim Cypher is one of the country’s most exciting saxophonists, with a style influenced by the likes of Gerald Albright, Maceo Parker, Pee Wee Ellis, Andy Sheppard, Dean Fraser, Courtney Pine and Grover Washington. Add in a versatile vocal style that has elements of Imelda May, Caro Emerald, Billie Holiday, and Liane Carroll and you have all of the ingredients for a great night of live music.

Kim Cypher surrounds herself with some of the best live musicians on the circuit, with a style that blends many genres, add in a quirky, jazzy twist, applied to both original music and well chosen covers, and this will make for a very special night. Her style has been described as ‘funky saxophonist meets 1940’s jazz singer’.

A Lichfield Arts Spokesman said ‘Kim Cypher is a great talent, a gifted saxophonist with a great vocal style, and an easy onstage presence, she promises a great night of live music. This could be a great idea for a Christmas night out, so treat yourself, or someone special to a great night out’.

The concert is on Wednesday December 4th, at the Lichfield Guildhall starting at 8.00pm, with doors opening at 7.15pm.
