Mr Chris Belyavin, the relationship manager of the Hospice, received the donation from Mrs Wendy Lee and Mrs Anne Ratcliffe. Over the last five years the Knit ‘n Natter group have raised over £3000 for the Donna Louise Hospice working for children and families of very ill children.
The Knit & Natter group meets each Thursday fortnight at Handsacre Methodist Church room in the afternoon of the village’s blue-bin week. They have raised the money from their knit-ware which varies from children’s toys, to blankets, baby wear, clothing and scarves, and they knit to order or for charity stalls.
As well as this, the group knit gifts for premature baby units and projects overseas as well as for care homes. Knit & Natter is organised by Meeting Point in the village and Wendy Lee would welcome any one who wishes to join the group Telephone 01543 492309 for more details.
