In March a team of eight 1st Armitage Scouts competed in the Chase Walk. This is a walk of 13 miles that the scouts complete unaided using a combination of map reading and survival skills that they have learned at scouts. ASL Mark Hanstock says “We have been training Scouts to compete in the Chase Walk for 9 years now, and never cease to be impressed by the resilience of the scouts.”

This year’s Team, Armitage Pacers were no exception in completing the walk-in under 5 hours. This is even more impressive when you consider that most of the Scouts had never walked a distance like this before. We were unable to start training until January and this was interrupted by the storms.
