Armitage with Handsacre Parish Council has submitted a neighbourhood plan to Lichfield District Council, becoming the ninth community within Lichfield District to do so.
The neighbourhood plan outlines how Armitage with Handsacre could be shaped in the future and, if approved, it will provide a framework for development that will form part of the development plan for Lichfield District. Lichfield District Council is now holding a six-week consultation so local people, organisations and agencies can consider the Armitage with Handsacre Neighbourhood Plan and give their views.
The district council will then collate all the comments and pass them on to an independent examiner. The examiner will look at the comments and the neighbourhood plan when assessing whether it meets national requirements and can proceed to the next stage of the process, which is a referendum within the neighbourhood area.
Councillor Ian Pritchard, Cabinet Member for Economic Growth, Environment & Development Services for Lichfield District Council, said: “Well done to everyone who has worked on this plan. It’s a great achievement to have got it this far in the process and we look forward to receiving comments throughout the consultation.”
The opportunity to comment on the Armitage with Handsacre Neighbourhood Plan is running from Friday 23 February to 5pm on Friday 6 April 2018.
