A woman is set to pedal away for ten hours at Burntwood Leisure Centre to raise money for Pathway Project.
On Friday 21 April, Melissa Beasley, who is a member of Burntwood Leisure Centre, will be embarking on a gruelling ten-hour charity cycle ride. Melissa, who is 28 years of age and from Burntwood, will be using one of the cycle machines in the leisure centre’s Inspire Fitness suite from 9am to 7pm to complete the task.
Melissa Beasley said: “I’m looking forward to the challenge. It’s for such a worthwhile charity so I’ll be pedalling away like mad. I’d like to thank all the team at Burntwood Leisure Centre for supporting my efforts and hope plenty of people will sponsor me.”
The money raised on the day will be donated to Pathway Project, to help the charity provide a 24-hour helpline, an emergency refuge and legal aid and counselling for anyone experiencing or affected by domestic abuse. There will be a collection bucket out on the day, or anyone can donate via Just Giving at www.justgiving.com/melissa-beasley
