King Pleasure & The Biscuit Boys
Fans of Blues and Jazz are in for a treat, when the fourth Lichfield Arts Blues and Jazz festival hits the city between Friday June 1st and Sunday 3rd June.
With leading names from the worlds of blues and jazz, such as Stan Webb’s Chicken Shack, Theo Travis Double Talk, The Annie Whitehead Quartet, Steve Ajao Blues Giants, The Sara Gillespie Quartet, and King Pleasure and the Biscuit Boys, and local acts such as Imperial Strut, Blast Off, Robert Jackson, Emma Johnson Boogie Woogie Quartet, and The Shooters, there is something to tickle every taste-bud.
With concerts taking place at Lichfield Guildhall, Lichfield Sports Club, and The Cathedral Hotel, and performances happening throughout the entire weekend, with full festival tickets, single day tickets and tickets for individual concerts there is something for every pocket and every interest.
Festival Director Brian Pretty said, ‘This is our fourth Blues and Jazz Festival, and it promises to be one of the best. We have leading national names, such as Stan Webb’s Chicken Shack, and King Pleasure and the Biscuit Boys, to the jazz music of Annie Whitehead and Theo Travis, and some of the fine local ensembles that the area has produced.
