The National Memorial Arboretum, in Staffordshire, is offering ‘A Day to Remember’ for visiting groups who take advantage of a range of packages available in 2018, providing walks, talks and exhibitions to enhance their visit, and an extensive menu of food options to ensure no one leaves hungry. Special group packages are also available for landmark events in the Arboretum’s 2018 events programme, including the summer Proms at the Arboretum, Armistice Day, and Christmas events.
The 150-acre Arboretum, which is free to enter, is home to over 350 thought provoking memorials nestled amongst approximately 30,000 trees, creating a tranquil woodland landscape teeming with wildlife. The memorials represent both military and civilian groups and feature tributes to exceptional individuals who have served, suffered or sacrificed on behalf of our country.
The Arboretum’s extensive events programme includes exclusive packages for groups, ensuring they can get the most out of their visit. These include:
- Group Saver Rates for the Proms at the Arboretum (4 August) – A spectacular evening of summer entertainment. As the sun begins to set, a live band will regale our audience with a rousing performance featuring a repertoire of traditional proms favourites, concluding with a firework finale.
- Armistice Day Service and Lunch (11 Novermber) – A large outdoor service of Remembrance will be held on Sunday 11 November 2018, marking the Centenary of the end of World War I. On this important occasion groups can benefit from our exclusive group package. Beginning with a welcome talk at 10.30am, in advance of the service, each group will have guaranteed, reserved seating, in the Pavilion Marquee for the duration of the event, where the Arboretum’s service will also be broadcast on screens. Alternatively groups can join the crowds to watch the service outdoors, before returning for a buffet lunch.
- Christmas Lunch with Entertainment (5, 12, 19 December) – A delicious three-course Christmas lunch with all the trimmings, hosted in our new for 2018 events building, will be exclusively available for groups. A welcome drink and live entertainment provided throughout the lunch will ensure guests leave full of festive joy.
Limited spaces are available for these events so early booking is recommended.
