Lichfield District Council’s former Chairman presented a cheque to his chosen charity on Thursday 27 July 2017.

In his year as the Chairman of Lichfield District Council, Councillor David Salter raised £1,303 for his chosen charity, Free Spirit. The former chairman was on hand at District Council House to present the cheque to Tracy Francis, from Free Spirit, who was joined by riders from Gartmore Riding School.

Free Spirit is the charity that is working to raise funds to create a life-sized bronze statue at the National Memorial Arboretum that acknowledges the horse’s unfaltering service to mankind. To find out more about Free Spirit, or to make a donation, please visit www.freespiritmemorial.co.uk
